The Dutch Parrot Foundation is regularly invited to attend events. We also organize unique days for parrots and symposia! Are you curious about the people and parrots behind the scenes? Come by and ask questions, sign our petitions and get information on parrot parrot welfare and rights!

May 17 This year will will be putting our best leg forward again during a walk through the woods.
We have chosen to go for a walk in Lunteren.
A nearby reastaurant has invited us and our parrots to enjoy refreshments in their establishment.
We’ll be meeting eachother around 11:00 AM at Hotel - Restaurant ''De Wormshoef''

There are several choices of distances to walk, all of these are accesible to buggies, scootmobiles and wheelchairs. Everyone is invited to join our walk wether you have (brought) a parrot or not.		 Lunteren
June 10 we will be organizing our annual walk in collaboration with the Clinic for Birds. This year we have chosen the location to be the orchidfarm Orchideeen Hoeve, where we will be able to walk amongst orchids and butterflies. Admission is free for everyone who brings his/her parrot or parakeet along. If you are a donor of our foundation but have chosen not to take your parrot along you will receive a discount. Luttelgeest
June 16 This year marks the 25th anniversary of veterinarian clinic Den Otter. To celebrate this momentous occasion they will be organising another Rhoonish Animal Day on the 16th of June.
The Dutch Parrot Foundation will also be present on this event sporting a large stand. The president of our foundation will be giving workshops on the topic of keeping parrots and parakeets. This is the third time the event is organised and like previous years we are preparing for a very successful event with many positive reactions. The event will take place on the large pasture in front of the practice, right next to the castle of Rhoon.		 Rhoon

15 July On this day The Dutch Parrot Foundation organises a walk/picnic in natural surroundings of 't Twiske. We gather in P2 at the Pikpotweg, Landsmeer at 11.00 o’clock. The Foundation will be present in a big tent. The intention is that everyone takes his own snack and/or drink. There is a lavatory nearby the parking lot. It is possible to walk several different routes. The paths are well accessible for buggies and wheelchairs. Cycling is also an option. After the walk there is the possibility to have a picnic together.When you leave the park, you need to pay parking fees. Rates 2012 for the first 3 hours you pay € 3,50,-.
